It would seem that I'm a master in the art of taking things out of the machine and putting them back in and therefore fixing a problem.  We seem to have lift off.  I've put everything back into the router and hay presto internet!!!!
I'm happy and I've just received a text from somebody telling me the colour of magic is on sky2 at 8pm!  I've no idea who it is 'cause my sim card died a few weeks ago taking my numbers with it.  Who ever you are thank you!
Now I'm going to have to fiddle for a while with more pluggy inny / outy of wires for 20mins or so in order to record Ashes to Ashes.
